Update 03-30-03: Hey guys! Sunday's update is up. We feel this week's came out particularly well, we hope you agree. Oh but first, it's neccessary to explain the updating of this site (this info can also be found in the story section):
Every Sunday, Nyamo - The Girl From Across the Sea is updated. This is the actual, full page comic about Nyamo attending North Eastern JC.
The site is also updated every Thursday. Usually, this update is an Original Nyamo strip. Original Nyamo is a Four-Panel (top to bottom, much like this site in general) gag strip. Just a cute thing done for a quick laugh. If there isn't an Original Nyamo strip, then a random update, such as a character portrait or an artistic illustration, will be put up.

I'M BACK! Of course it's only been a week AND I only do ONE rant a week... so well I guess I'm just back for my regular rant... nothing too special. Anyway, I like comics... I really like comics... that's why I draw them I guess. And today I will talk about what comics I like and why... after all they are what brought me to this point in my life. My favorite comics are Batman, Steam Detectives, Usagi Yojimbo, Deadpool, Strings of Fate, and Megatokyo. I also regularly read indy comics and stuff by the great goth artist FSC.
I like Batman because he is a super hero that is still very human, and many times he finds himself questioning himself, asking himself if his sacrifices are worth it. And unlike Superman or Spiderman, he has no powers that may interfere with that desicion, he just has a promise. Steam Detectives I like because it's very much like Batman, but not as brooding and complex. I also love Asamiya's art style alot. Though I do like Narutaki and Lu Bread and Night of Phantom and think they are unique. Usagi Yojimbo, I think and said last week, is very much under rated and I think it's a very wonderful samurai comic just barely inching out Rurouni Kenshin. Deadpool is funny as hell, though I only read it when it was being done by UDON! so I should catch up on Agent X (the new title of Deadpool). Strings of Fate is a beautiful story with wonderful characters, beautiful and expresive art and a great fantasy story. Megatokyo... it's a great serial. Yeah, good art, funny characters. Nuff said. Anyway, I hope some of you feel this way about my stuff soon, so please if you have anything you'd like to say, I'm listening, drop me a line!

There isn't much for me to say today. This week has been dull, just been playing games. I'll just talk (very briefly) about the few games I've been playing recently.
#1: Xenosaga - Story heavy would be great... if the story wasn't slow and boring. Anyway, I recorded 8 hours worth of cutscenes (one and a half vhs) and let me tell you... nothing happens till the end. A big disappointment... I'm hoping the other 5 episodes will redeem it (or at least let it surpass Xenogears.) Anyway, it was kinda fun, but after you get strong... it's really repetitive. I am so glad that it wasn't random battles though.
#2: Dark Cloud 2 - Fun. Just plain fun. It's not a great game though... but it'll last a long time and there's so much to do. It looks really nice too. Anyway, the game is all about customization.
#3: Made In Warioland - This game is for GBA... it's just plain fun. It's comprised of 200 or so 7 second minigames. It's really hard to explain, it's a lot easier to play it. So if you can get a copy, I'd really suggest giving it a try. It's a lot of fun (much better than Game and Watch, IMO.)
#4: Tetrinet - If you don't have it, download it. It's tetris... except you get attack blocks. You play against people online... it's really fun, so if you haven't yet, give it a try.
Anyway, I have some money and gift certificates, so I think I'll be purchasing games this week. Looking towards Dynasty Warriors 4 (sweet 2-player action) and Puzzle Fighter (sweeter two player action...)
