Update 06-22-03: Okay, this strip officially ends the first part of Nyamo's story, which we have titled "Day One"... for hopefully obvious reasons. In celebration, we've done a big fatty update today! First and foremost, today's comic is (obviously) up. But mostly everything else is less obvious, so let's go over them. A colored version of cover number one is available on the nyamo start page (or look at the index). The story teaser for part 2 has been put up on the story page. The index page has been fully updated to include everything I've kinda (okay, more than kinda) been failing to put up. There is also a new colored image of Original Nyamo, which was used for the Original Nyamo cover page (more on this later.) The image isn't impressive, but it served its purpose and can be found on the index page under extras. The character page and author page have both been slightly revamped, but you most likely won't really notice. Finally, a few links have been added to the comics section of the links page, the most important of which is Apple Continuum, so take a look.
Today's biggest update concerns Original Nyamo, which you've most likely noticed from the links below the logo (and all the other comic pages, if you've been exploring). Now you can easily switch forth between Nyamo (normal nyamo just cuz it looked better) and Original Nyamo. The text of all the Original Nyamo pages has been adjusted to reflect the change, as well as the title and the logo. Yes, Original Nyamo now has it's own logo (even though it's just a bootleg version of the Nyamo logo). It also has a cover page and a fully working set of links. Clicking the end button from now on will always bring you to the current update, whether Nyamo or Original Nyamo. And lastly (for real this time), a general 404 error page has been added. You'll see it every time you try to go forward to a week that doesn't exist, but come here if you insist on seeing it right away. As promised, today was a big fatty update! Enjoy, please feel free to explore to get a better grasp of what I'm talking about! Hopefully, next week will be a good image update, with several new promotional images. And next week will begin Nyamo part 2 (well, the new cover anyway); we hope you continue to follow Nyamo's adventures!
Every Sunday, Nyamo - The Girl From Across the Sea is updated. This is the actual, full page comic about Nyamo attending North Eastern JC.
The site is also updated every Thursday. Usually, this update is an Original Nyamo strip. Original Nyamo is a Four-Panel (top to bottom, much like this site in general) gag strip. Just a cute thing done for a quick laugh. If there isn't an Original Nyamo strip, then a random update, such as a character portrait or an artistic illustration, will be put up.

Hey guys, how're you doing this week? Well we've had a sizeable update this week and are now finished with part one of the regular story! Yay! The site has a little bit different look, and original Nyamo now has a cover and has almost been totally redrawn. Much has been done in an effort to improve the site for you veiwers. But there are also other reasons to make the page look better, yes, Aswembar is going to Comic Con. Fear our power, but hey, we're based outta San Diego so hey it's natural. For those of you who've been coming since the begining we thanks you! We've got a lot of great plans this summer so be sure to keep on sticking around! Also be looking forward to our firs piece of Nyamo merchandise- the Nyamo full color art print! There will be more details on this soon, and for a glimpse of the pic check out the Aswembar Web Store (soon to be called Nyamo's Ammo). Uh... other than that nothing much, I apologize for not doing a rant as philosophical as last weeks, but I'm at a loss of words today.
Aswembar's Homepage

Last week's lack of a rant gave me an idea for a rant this week. When I linked to Something Awful, it reminded me of the time when I had to write a search engine for a class project. For me, it seems little more than a month ago, even though it's been less than two weeks. I personally blame college for disrupting my flow of time.
Anyways... the first thing I realized while designing the search engine is that HTML needs to be more regularized. And I'm not just talking about regulating the coding, text needs to be regulated. I think that in third grade, after learning to print, after learning to write in cursive, everyone should learn to type. Like you learn to write your cursive letters with a slant, you should learn not to type LiKe Th1ssSSSSS!!!! I RoxxOR5~~~! But, all of Nyamo's readers already know this for a fact. Or at least they better, if they don't want Dean Mean after them. Imaginary characters can be the scariest thing to face in real life, if you don't believe it, watch all the CG scenes from Hulk. Back to subject, if you refuse to conform, the punishment should be quite severe, like an eye-gouging. Or something, I dunno. As for the other side of this coin, I believe coding should be regulated... but not fully. You see, it's easier this way and people can afford to be less lazy (unless they're programming stuff to deal with it.) Since I don't plan to go into the web working field, I'm really to lazy to care.
And the last (coincidentally the second) thing I learned from making a search engine... the future is already looking bad for robots. Yes, this rant has turned to robots, as all good rants eventually do. More specifically, to robot rights, a topic only rarely touched on by politicians. In fact, only insane politicians have touched it so far. Unknown to most of the public, the world is setting the stage to discriminate against robots. If, unlike me, you're the type of person who needs proof and are too stuck up to trust the work of a random stranger, I present the Robot Exclusion Policy, which can be read in its entirety here. Now, I'm not saying the robots exist yet (but only because I don't have the proof) and I'm not saying we shouldn't discriminate against them; I'm just saying we shouldn't discriminate against the robots out there! Sure, robots are proven, by 90% of movies, to be 'evil', easily corruptable, human killers who look out only for themselves, shouldn't we give them a chance? Why can't we, upon building our robots, turn around and worship it? It'll be like the Jews of the Old Testament; We can even build robot calves! Robot Calves! Or... since our culture has turned to science nowadays, we can worship the blueprints (to represent the theory) of the robots as they, quite rightly, sacrifice us. But why, before the public has even acknoledged robots, must we make a robot exclusion policy?
Umm... really that wasn't the last thing I had to complain about, but as I think I explained before, I really, really suck at ranting. Mostly because I'm really laid back, so even if I get angry at something, it's more work for me to stay angry than to calm down. And once you start to think, gosh, rants go right down the toilet. So, I'm calmed down about this already and I've lost interest entirely. Rereading this, it doesn't make a shred of sense anymore. Gosh, I'm so glad nobody ever reads these rants anyway. So... umm... BLAH! umm... yay nyamo... !!... uh... *rushes away from the computer*
