Nyamo is filled with several dyanamic characters that are quite lovable once you get to know them. So this page contains info on the characters that have appeared so far. Nyamo is a very determined young woman. She is intelligent, friendly, kind, strong, uneasily discouraged, and outgoing, among many other good traits. However, she is also incredibly naive and overly trusting, two traits that are usually extremely bad for a college student, but whose combination tends to actually benefit Nyamo.
Besides for the fact that it lies somewhere across the sea (in relation to America anyway), there is no information about Nyamo's homeland. Nothing is special about her height or skin tone, but wherever she is from, Nyamo seems to have extremely large eyes, which causes her aversion to bright lights, as they give her much pain. Nyamo currently lives in the rice barrel she arrived in.
Nyamo dreams of attending North Eastman University, an Ivy League college well-known for its international programs. Despite her setbacks, she remains very optimistic, making the best out of bad situations. Eager to meet new friends and increase her knowledge, Nyamo is a very sweet character with a pure heart.

Roxy is a fourth-year at North Eastern Community College. She is certain to make sure her fourth is her last year. Roxy is an incredibly independent person who's only guide is herself. She does what she wants to do and lives the way she thinks she should live. This makes her a trouble maker in a lot of people's minds, but she's just fine with that. Roxy isn't cruel though and has many friends. In fact, it seems that she knows everyone at North Eastern College, for whatever reason.
Roxy is the lead guitarist and vocalist of Candy Luv. Her band consists of a bass player, drummer, and a synth player. They play for the sake of playing though and aren't an extremely close group. Everyone is well-aware of Roxy's normal scams though.
As for origns, Roxy was originally the cover girl/mascot for Aswembar's magazine. She was a generic "goth-girl." A lot about her has been changed, but her attitude has always remained.

Dean Mean's past is something of a mystery. In fact, little is known about his life before he came to North Eastern College. It is often speculated that his life has been somewhat influenced by the large amounts of 80's action films that he watches. Having an incredibly huge body, Dean Mean's passions for teaching and helping the youth of his community are backed up with superhuman strength and the ability to intimidate even the toughest of rouges.
It is rumored that Dean Mean has a family somewhere, but there has been no proof that this rumor is true. However, every rumor has its truths...

Original Nyamo, like her counterpart, has a very pure heart, is very naive, overly trusting, and eager to learn. She is also a foreigner who traveled to America for a good college, only to wind up at a junior college (in her case, Nyamo attends the real-life Southwestern College in Southern California.) But this is where their similarities end.
Appearancewise, Original Nyamo is short and looks very young, despite the fact that she is older than her counterpart. Her origins and reason for wanting to attend college in America are completely clouded in mystery, but really don't matter. For Original Nyamo, the only thing that is important is the present.
Also, although not stupid, Original Nyamo's intellect is far from that of her counterpart's. Original Nyamo lives life very much "by the moment" and gets confused very easily. Sadly, it's questionable of whether or not she has what it takes to reach her goals.
