Update 03-04-04:
Yay! This is the the offical closing to the "Nyamo's Quest" storylinish thing, which it appears she successfully accomplished. The comic itself is pretty good and I don't think many comments need to be made. Anthony did pretty well with that bummy guy again, right? hehe. Also, I always thought it would be funny if someone really did wait for somebody else in the dumpster. Next week, we'll go into more random topics, I think. Oh yeah, and Nyamo turns one full year old on the 9th, so we'll do something extra special for this Sunday's update. Look forward to it (but don't look THAT forward to it or you'll probably get disappointed).
I'm gonna comment on the whole "Nyamo's Quest" arc here. It didn't really turn out as well as I hoped it too. The whole idea for it came from Jed's feeling that because this took place at a community college, there needed to be community college stuff. However, after hanging out with Anthony for a while, he realized there really wasn't anything interesting at community colleges. So these people were his attempt to incorporate the "community college" feel... by picking on the sterotypes he did notice. It didn't work out too well, in any case. Mainly because there's no feel for these random characters who pop in and out, and Nyamo has no personality attatched to her either here. However, Jed has learned a decent amount since planning these comments. These comics worked well to show the first step new students usually take: Meet as many people as possible. Also, now I can focus on this Nyamo finding a good group of friends, something the other Nyamo has a much easier time at doing. I'm babbling now, maybe I'll add more to this later, but I'm lazy, so probably not.
Original Nyamo (in theory) is updated every Thursday. It is a short gag strip comic modeled after the Japanese 4-Panel strips. It is meant to be read top to bottom, left to right. Original Nyamo is supplementary though; the focus of this site is Sunday's update.
Every Sunday, Nyamo - The Girl From Across the Sea is updated. This is the actual, full page comic about Nyamo attending North Eastern JC. Less gags than Original Nyamo, but much more story.
