Update 09-23-04:
The last of the latest batch of Original Nyamos. I'm very sorry to say that I don't know when the next batch will arrive. However, it pauses with a good one, right? The first panel was fun to do... I guess it's supposed to say: "There are four variables in this equation: X, Y, Z and theta. The law states that be taking the arc sine of theta and..." I had a German math teacher who referred to Z as zett or zeta depending on his mood. And yeah, this is supposed to be a math or physics class, though it doesn't matter which. Anyways... this strip is entirely true and the case of many, many universities (at least here on the west coast.) I've heard of a math teacher whose English was so bad that the class preferred he taught in his native tongue, Cantonese. At least 3/4 of the class could kind of understand him then, instead of the previous 0%. I bet that was really bad news for the strictly English speaking though. This strip is so true, you know! Pij and I were so excited to find a math teacher who spoke decent English once (despite the fact that he had a Goober-ish whistle to his voice). Unfortunetly... what he had in his speech he severely lacked in the ability to write. Seriously, his handwriting was illegible which made his examples very hard to follow. Oh yeah, by coincidence, this comic is in celebration of the start of the new UCSD school year. Celebration? Well, this year is my last one. ^_^ yay. Oh yeah, we had a server move recently, but everything should be okay by now. Some of the images/links were fixed up. So enjoy!... but first...
Original Nyamo (in theory) is updated every Thursday. It is a short gag strip comic modeled after the Japanese 4-Panel strips. It is meant to be read top to bottom, left to right. Original Nyamo is supplementary though; the focus of this site is Sunday's update.
Every Sunday, Nyamo - The Girl From Across the Sea is updated. This is the actual, full page comic about Nyamo attending North Eastern JC. Less gags than Original Nyamo, but much more story.
